In order to connect your X-Rite IC Plate, you need to have a serial socket on your computer. If you don't have physical RS-232 (COM port) you may use a USB to RS-232 converter. With the converter, a Virtual Serial Port will be created in your system.

On a PC computer, you will require a software driver that has to be delivered by the converter manufacturer.

If your Virtual com is working fine - connect your IC Plate to it. When you are connecting with CC Capture make sure that your Instrument is not in sleeping mode. Weak it up by triggering measurements.

Be also sure that batteries have to be charged.
