Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your device. They allow websites to remember preferences, recognize returning visitors, and analyze usage patterns. These files cannot execute code, install malware, or access other data on your device.

The cookie banner offers: Accept All; Essential Only; Manage Preferences. You can review or change your preferences at any time using the button below. Withdrawal of consent takes effect immediately and does not affect prior lawful processing.

- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Opera: Settings → Advanced → Privacy & Security
Blocking essential cookies may prevent the website from functioning properly.
Opt-Out of Google Analytics
Users can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-Party Cookies
Some pages may include content from third-party services that set their own cookies. This includes Google Analytics (https://policies.google.com/privacy). ChromaChecker cannot access third-party cookies, and third parties cannot access our cookies.
Cookies in the ChromaChecker desktop applications
The ChromaChecker desktop applications display parts of the ChromaChecker service in an embedded browser. Session cookies used to keep an operator signed in are therefore stored on that computer, in the application's own storage rather than in your web browser, and they are removed when the application's data is cleared or the application is uninstalled. They are strictly necessary cookies: they exist to maintain the signed-in session. The desktop applications set no analytics or advertising cookies of their own.
Do Not Track (DNT)
ChromaChecker does not respond to DNT signals. The use of non-essential and analytics cookies is governed exclusively by the cookie consent banner and user-selected preferences.
Cookie Retention
- Session cookies: Deleted when browser closes
- Preference cookies: 1 year
- Analytics cookies: Up to 2 years (subject to configuration)
Updates to This Policy
