Project Public Library — Sample Projects
The Public Library features a variety of typical projects that provide use cases typical of industrial color scenarios. Different projects utilize different ChromaChecker Tools. All Public projects are use cases that should help you solve problems by collecting measurements, creating reports, and helping you understand your environment.

Print Inspector - If you’re focused on printing devices, process control, calibration, profiling, or verification, you’ll need assessment and troubleshooting tools. You’ll audit and learn tools that help resolve various technical issues. The dominant interface will be Print Inspector. It feeds data to Performance Inspector, where different kinds of reports and notifications help manage production. Uses E-factor to quantify errors and calculate sellability. |
|
Control Strip required, preferred instruments with scanning capability. It features several additional features focused on print conditions and printing devices. Offers ICC Profile generation, G7 and TVI calibration curves, variation analysis, and much more. Offers quick-report labels and PDF reports. |

Packaging Inspector — an interface designed primarily for web machine operators, where decision optimization and operator guidance are crucial to production economics. With additional side-by-side comparisons and accurate analytics, the interface provides simple recommendations for the operator. |
Dedicated for web presses and single-row control strips, it offers additional information related to press configuration (Ink sequence, eniloxes, etc.). The reporting system is optimized for flexo or rotogravure to save production time and minimize waste.

QuickChecker-based, instant random measurements with auto-recognition mode, automatic recording, and quick insight into the history of previous measurements - an ideal tool for tracking spot colors (named), not only for quality controllers. |
Spot measurements only - dedicated for handheld devices. It comes with an excellent set of additional tools. This is the ideal tool for defining color standards and creating color libraries.

Check your Instruments, compare, and learn the differences by measuring Proof Verification in Instrument Inspector. The Idealliance ISO 12647-7 Control Wedge 2013 can be used as a short-term Instrument Inspector Target. |
Whenever more than one instrument is used in the production workflow, it is crucial to understand the final impact on overall accuracy issues, even if the instruments are of the same kind.

Display Inspector - Extend Project to verify displays by Spectraproof, integrating with Softproofing and Display Calibration Solution provided by ChromaChecker Technology Partner. Softproofing is now super-easy and user-friendly. |
Quantify all critical colors from the selected Project to understand potential limitations of the display. Make softproofing a more reliable replacement for hard proofs.
Key benefits of Sample Projects (ver.1):
- Report the E-Factor accuracy to GRACoL (the smaller the number, the more accurate to GRACoL)
- Report the E-Factor accuracy to your other installed printers
- Use the data above to determine which printers are most similar to the others. These are the printers that need to be improved using ChromaChecker’s G7 curve and or ICC Profiling to bring them closer to GRACoL (or other reference)
- Measuring the control strip over time allows for defining precision and accuracy, enabling understanding of how to improve printer consistency and knowing when a new curve or ICC Profile is needed.
- Benchmark new printers to ensure they can match your existing printers to your customers' expectations
- Define the gamut of printers on different substrates to know if you can match specific brands' colors.
- Provide practical guidance for the operators.
- Track your production based on Projects.
- Organize multi-location workflow with a central repository.
- Invite Print Service Providers and share Projects.
- Get practical directions for a press operator.
- Manage complex projects with advanced automation.
Key benefits of Sample Projects (ver.2):
- Compare the printer to Standard (GRACoL)
- Compare two or more printers
- Prioritize which printer needs the most help
- Check your E-Factor
- Create calibration curves: G7 or TVI
- Create ICC Profile
- Verify Print and print label
- Asses Precision and Accuracy (Deviations and Variations)
- Create printer self-audit - find issues to address
- Calculate Printer Gamut
- Get practical directions for press operator
- Track your production based on Projects
- Organise multi-location workflow with central reposotory
- Invite Printservice Providers and share Projects
- Menage complex projects with advanced automation.
