File Routing
Downloads that put themselves away.
File Routing sends downloaded files to the right folder automatically, using pattern-matching rules you define.
What it does for you
Without it, every download raises a Save-As dialog and every operator answers it differently - which is how proofs end up on desktops, in Downloads, and in three folders named nearly the same thing.
Rules make the answer the same every time, and nobody has to think about it.
What you can do
- Match on filename patterns and route to a folder
- Target a local folder or a cloud location
- Several rules, evaluated in order, with a fallback for anything unmatched
Getting started
Enable File Routing in the Plugin Manager and write your rules in its settings. Without the plugin, downloads simply show the usual Save-As dialog.
