IoT Bridge
One connection to the sensors, shared by everything that needs them.
IoT Bridge gives CC Capture a single MQTT connection, so WiFi and Zigbee sensors around the plant - temperature and humidity, signal towers - can reach the application through one place instead of each plugin opening its own.
What it does for you
Pressroom conditions belong in the record. A colour measured at 19 °C and 40 % is not the same measurement as one taken at 27 °C and 65 %, and when a job misbehaves the environment is the first thing you want to look at.
The bridge makes those readings available to whatever needs them, and keeps one connection to maintain rather than five.
What you can do
- Connect to any MQTT broker - your own, or one on the workstation
- Feed the RHT Sensor plugin and the signal tower from the same connection
- Works with the usual smart-sensor stacks: Zigbee2mqtt, Tasmota, ESPHome, Shelly
- Zigbee sensors through a USB coordinator
Getting started
Enable IoT Bridge in the Plugin Manager and enter your broker's address in its settings. The default is a broker on this computer.
Where your readings go: with the default setting nothing leaves the workstation. Point it at a broker elsewhere and readings travel there - see the IoT Bridge security note.
