JETI specbos / spectraval
A spectroradiometer for light itself.
JETI specbos and spectraval instruments measure emitted light - displays, viewing booths, luminaires - and compute XYZ, correlated colour temperature and colour rendering on the device.
What it does for you
A viewing booth that has drifted makes every visual assessment in the building wrong, and nobody notices because the drift is slow. These instruments measure the light rather than a surface, which is what tells you whether D50 is still D50.
They also measure displays properly, spectrally, where a colorimeter can only estimate.
What you can do
- Emissive measurement of displays, booths and light sources
- XYZ, CCT and CRI computed on the instrument
- Full spectra, not filtered approximations
Getting started
Enable JETI specbos / spectraval in the Plugin Manager and connect the instrument; it appears as a virtual serial port.
Part of ChromaChecker CC Capture. Plugins are enabled in Plugins -> Plugin Manager. This page describes the plugin as of CC Capture 4.0.570.
