Print Data

Open, read and edit print-data files without a spreadsheet.

Print Data opens the exchange files our industry runs on - ISO 20616-2 PQX reports, CxF colour files, Autura .ajs standards - in a sectioned editor that shows what each part of the file means.

What it does for you

These files arrive from MeasureColor, proofSIGN, ColorCert and half a dozen other systems, and they are usually read by opening them in a text editor and squinting. That is how a wrong value gets shipped to a customer.

Print Data shows the envelope and the measurement detail separately, labels the fields, and lets you correct what needs correcting without breaking the file's structure.

What you can do

  • Open PQX (including .cxf.pqx), CxF and .ajs files
  • Edit the envelope - who measured, when, with what, under which conditions
  • Review measurement detail patch by patch
  • Save back in the same format, valid
  • Pull colour libraries and ICC profiles from Local Assets when a file references them

Getting started

Enable Print Data in the Plugin Manager; it opens as a view in the toolbar. Drag a file in, or open one from disk or cloud storage.

Part of ChromaChecker CC Capture. Plugins are enabled in Plugins -> Plugin Manager. This page describes the plugin as of CC Capture 4.0.570.
